How MatchDock works
A guided reconciliation from two exports to an explainable result.
- 01
Add two exports
Drop Source A and Source B. Choose CSV or XLSX files that stay in this browser.
- 02
Define the match
Choose business keys, map columns, and set explicit normalization or tolerance rules.
- 03
Review the exceptions
Inspect differences, missing rows, duplicates, and invalid keys, then export evidence locally.
Every outcome has a reason
MatchDock never invents a match. When a key is ambiguous or invalid, it reports an exception.
Basic reconciliation matches 1:1 by key. Advanced adds configured groups, subsets, N:M and fuzzy candidates. N:M and fuzzy candidates require human confirmation; uncertain candidates remain unresolved.
- Matched
- Key and compared fields agree.
- Within tolerance
- Tolerance-based matching accepts a numeric or date difference only when it falls within the explicit limit you set.
- Difference
- The key matched, but one or more fields differ.
- Only in Source A
- No valid Source B row matched the key.
- Only in Source B
- No valid Source A row matched the key.
- Duplicate or ambiguous
- The key does not identify exactly one row.
- Invalid key
- A required key value is empty or unusable.
